RevivAL recycled aluminium
Emirates Global Aluminium gives used aluminium new life
Aluminium is infinitely recyclable.
Recycling aluminium requires 95 per cent less energy than making new metal, generating a fraction of the greenhouse gas emissions and reducing the requirement for new natural resources. Almost 75 per cent of all the aluminium ever made is still in use today.
Global demand for recycled aluminium is expected to double by 2040. EGA is building a global business in aluminium recycling to meet this growing demand.
We market our high quality EGA recycled aluminium under the product name RevivAL.
EGA is the world’s leading ‘premium aluminium’ producer with a global industry reputation for consistently high quality. EGA applies the same approach to be a quality leader in the production of RevivAL recycled aluminium.

EGA conducts extensive metallurgical testing at each stage of the recycling process from receiving scrap to final product inspection.

Producing high-quality aluminium from scrap is complex. EGA has invested in best available technology in its recycling processes, from sorting to casting to homogenisation. EGA’s remelting furnaces are high efficiency, minimising the environmental impact of the remelting process.

EGA aligns with customers the proportion of scrap content and the proportion post-consumer scrap in RevivAL recycled aluminium products.

EGA’s current global aluminium recycling capacity is 195 thousand tonnes per year, with plants in the United States and Germany. In addition, EGA blends recycled metal with CelestiAL solar aluminium at our primary aluminium casthouse in Jebel Ali to produce CelestiAL-R.

EGA Leichtmetall is a European producer of high-strength recycled aluminium and was acquired by Emirates Global Aluminium in 2024. Production at the EGA Leichtmetall plant in Hannover, Germany includes hard alloys and large diameter billets with high proportions of aluminium scrap.

EGA Spectro Alloys is a leading secondary foundry alloy and billet producer in the United States, based in Minnesota.

EGA is currently building the UAE’s largest aluminium recycling plant in Al Taweelah. The plant will have a capacity of 170 thousand tonnes per year of aluminium billets, with first hot metal expected during the first half of 2026.
