Meet Azza Al Qabaisi. Hear about how creativity makes her a UAE aluminium innovator.
Azza Al Qabaisi
Azza A Qabaisi creates wearable art. At first, her work was out of the ordinary, and not everyone understood what she was creating. She used different materials, that were not often found in others’ creations.
Azza now creates many different types of art, that vary from delicate pieces of jewellery all the way up to huge outdoor installations.
“From the very beginning, my work was not understood by many. I find inspiration everywhere I go.
“I work with many materials: wood, sand, steel, aluminium. Sustainability is important to me.”

Aluminium is among the world’s most versatile metals, and our global customers transform it into products that make modern life possible – from smartphones and building materials to food packaging and car parts.
Four per cent of the world’s aluminium production or almost half of the aluminium produced in the Gulf Cooperation Council, is made by us. That means approximately one in every 25 tonnes of aluminium is UAE-made.
“I love working with aluminium because it is made in the UAE and it is recyclable. I can use it in miniscule projects as well as larger than life sculptures because it can be moulded and cast, giving me a wide range to be creative.”
