The rewards of persistence

Meet Adeeb Al Blooshi. Learn how his love for his father and mother led him to become a UAE aluminium innovator.

Adeeb Al Blooshi

Adeeb Al Balooshi was the UAE’s youngest inventor. He started inventing when he was just six years old. His first inventions were a medical apparatus for his father and a cleaning robot for his mother.

His passion for invention came from his love for helping people, putting his ideas into action make life better.

“The medical apparatus my father had was heavy, because it was partly made out of steel, which also corrodes. By subbing the steel parts for aluminum, not only was the medical apparatus lighter and more comfortable, it also gave it a longer lifespan.

Together, innovating aluminium
to make modern life possible

Aluminium is among the world’s most versatile metals, and our global customers transform it into products that make modern life possible – from smartphones and building materials to food packaging and car parts.

Four per cent of the world’s aluminium production or almost half of the aluminium produced in the Gulf Cooperation Council, is made by us. That means approximately one in every 25 tonnes of aluminium is UAE-made.

“I like to think of myself as someone who’s persistent. When I put my mind to something, I have to see it fulfilled.

“In the future, my goal is to give back to my country and leadership who have continuously supported me from the very beginning until today. I am positive they will continue to do so.”
