For decades, Emirates Global Aluminium has maintained and developed global competitiveness by focusing on innovation and continuous improvement. We have developed our own aluminium smelting technology in the United Arab Emirates for more than 30 years.

Our technology legacy includes using our own technology in every smelter expansion and retrofitting all our older production lines. In 2016 we became the first UAE industrial company to license our core process technology internationally.

At EGA, we have a bold aspiration to innovate the future of aluminium production. For the decades ahead, we aim to provide EGA’s technology solutions to the industry to expand our position as technology supplier of choice, and establish a thriving manufacturing innovation ecosystem in the UAE.

Continuous improvement involves everyone at EGA and is an integral part of our corporate culture. We believe that the people closest to a work process are in an ideal position to identify what improvements are required and create the best solutions. Our Tamayaz programme which brings together cross-functional teams to find potential solutions through structured and scientific analysis. The EGA’s Suggestion Scheme programme has operated since 1981. Our innovative employees have submitted more than half-a-million suggestions since then.
