Governance

Emirates Global Aluminium’s corporate governance framework and compliance mechanisms are designed to ensure we conduct our business with integrity.

Ethics

Our ethics and compliance program is managed by a dedicated Compliance team. They are supported by a network of compliance champions whose role is to raise awareness and promote a culture of integrity across EGA.

Code of Conduct

EGA takes anti-bribery and anti-corruption compliance seriously. We have a zero-tolerance approach to bribery and corruption. Any behaviour of this sort, including facilitation payments, is prohibited by our Code of Conduct.

Responsible Sourcing

As an international company and one of the largest producers of aluminium in the world, our activities and choice of supply chain partners can carry both environmental and social consequences. We recognise we must continue to drive standards within our global supply chain and do so in partnership with our suppliers.

Our Supply Chain Code of Conduct sets out our commitments and what we expect of our suppliers. These includes respect for human rights workplace integrity, ethical business practices, community involvement, environmental protection, health and safety, anti-bribery and corruption and worker welfare.

We require all suppliers to sign a supplier declaration or provide comparable assurance that they comply with EGA’s values and standards, including our values and principles associated with business integrity, environmental protection and human rights.

As part of our prequalification process, we screen suppliers according to the level of existing environmental and social commitment, in addition to past performance. We also undertake regular audits and inspections of our supply chain partners to ensure our expectations are being met.
