Emirates Global Aluminium extends support for business excellence at region’s premier audit event

Partnership promotes pursuit of professional development

Emirates Global Aluminium (EGA) – the jointly-owned, UAE-based aluminium conglomerate being formed by Mubadala Development Corporation and Investment Corporation of Dubai – will be the Platinum Sponsor of the 15th Annual Regional Audit Conference, which is taking place on the 16 and 17 March 2014 at the World Trade Centre, Dubai. The sponsorship extends the aluminium industry’s support for business excellence and extends its commitments to first-class professional development.

The conference is being hosted by the UAE Internal Audit Association (IAA) – a global affiliate of the Institute of Internal Auditors Inc. (IIA), the leading international professional body for auditors. The conference is aiming to attract more than a 1,000 professionals in the field from the across the Middle East region. It will feature recognised and respected keynote speakers from across the globe who will discuss the latest topics impacting the internal audit profession, along with workshops and professional development sessions. The theme of the 2014 conference is “Formula 1 Audit, The Future Race”.

The formation of EGA will effectively integrate two of the UAE’s flagship industrial companies – Dubai Aluminium (DUBAL) and Emirates Aluminium (EMAL). EGA’s involvement in the UAE IAA conference extends existing relationships whereby DUBAL previously sponsored the event. Internal audit employees from EGA will attend the event to gain the advantages of first-class professional development.
